Back to: BEGINNER LINE DANCE INSTRUCTOR COURSE LEVEL 1
Thank you for signing up the Everything Line Dance Association Instructor training course. At the end of the course you will be equipped with all the knowledge you need to set up and run a legally compliant line dance class. We have split the course into five sections:
SECTION 1 – Overview – this section is the overview and the current page you are reading.
SECTION 2 a & b – Preparation for running a class – this section will explain about the legalities behind running a class, ensuring that your dancers are attending a class prepared to the highest of industry standards. We will talk about the range of ways to set up and advertise your class, what equipment you will need and everything you will need to know before you count 5,6,7,8 for the very first time!
SECTION 3 – Teaching a class – this section will demonstrate the various different ways of teaching, methods to help you bring on your dancers and solutions to questions and difficulties your dancers may have.
SECTION 4 – Basic line dance knowledge – here we will give examples of the different types of music we dance to, clearly explain how to demonstrate a range of beginner and improver steps to your dancers and give a brief insight to dance floor etiquette.
SECTION 5 – Assessment – There will be a short question and answer section for you to complete before you can upload a video demonstrating how you would teach and then call a beginner line dance.
